Do I have to change my current recordkeeper?

No. In almost every engagement, we work alongside your existing recordkeeper (Fidelity, Empower, Principal, ADP, Paychex, Guideline, etc.). Employees see no change to their login or contribution process — only an improved investment lineup and documented fiduciary oversight.

How is a 3(38) different from what our advisor does today?

Most plan advisors serve as 3(21) co-fiduciaries. They recommend investments; you (the plan sponsor) approve them and remain personally responsible. A 3(38) investment manager has discretion — we make the investment decisions, and fiduciary liability for those decisions transfers to us in writing.

What does the service cost?

Fees are transparent, flat or basis-point-based, and disclosed in writing before you sign. For most plans, engaging us reduces the total participant expense ratio because we replace higher-cost funds with institutional share classes.

Are you truly independent?

Yes. Royal Fund Management is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor. We accept no commissions, revenue-sharing, or third-party payments — we are legally obligated to act in the best interest of the plan and its participants.

What size plans do you work with?

We specialize in small and mid-sized employer plans — typically 10 to 500 employees and $500,000 to $50 million in assets. If your plan sits outside that range, reach out anyway; we will be candid about fit.

How long does the transition take?

Most engagements move from signed agreement to fully implemented lineup in 30–60 days. There is no participant-facing disruption; contributions continue normally throughout.
